Pair of Ere Ibedji twin figures.
Sculptures called Ere Ibeji are carved by the Yoruba primarily as memorial figures for twins. Such figures are considered a point of access to the spirit of a departed twin and an icon of status for a mother of twins.
These figures are decorated with lots of colorfull beads and have a very fine patina.
Good condition. Some age related cracks and repairs. Have a good look at the pictures.
