    Antique African Stone Nomoli Kissi Figure - GUINEA - 19th Century or Earlier
    Old and antique stone Nomoli or Kissi figure from the Mende people of Guinea.  At least 19th century, possibly as early as the 17th century.
    Crouching figure carved of soapstone, partially encrusted.
    Flat base allows figure to stand upright.
    Please examine photos carefully for condition.
    Purchased years ago at auction as part of a group of Ethnographic art, this is part of my personal collection that I am selling to downsize.
