Slingerland 30" concert bass drum, 1950 vintage.

Description

Slingerland concert bass drum. This drum probably dates back to the '50s.  I got it around 1968.  Both heads are unbroken, no slits, a few stains is all.  One head is genuine calf skin (Slingerland RadioKing), the other head is Remo WeatherKing Fiberskyn.  I used the drum in pit orchestras as a concert bass drum. I'm 77 now and no longer playing in bands and orchestras.  The shell is in perfect condition as far as no cracks, no warpage, but it does have scars all over its original finish. None appear so deep as to go into the wood itself.  I'm seeing prices of around 0 each for just a calfskin head of this size that isn't broken.  The fiberskyn Remo head sells for about .  So, the two heads alone are worth nearly 0.
