    Description

    DESCRIPTION:
I SELL ONLY WITHIN THE U.S.  NO INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING OFFERED.
I’m offering today an adorable large baby doll from the 1950's era.  This is a large baby doll with really tight curls, heavy vinyl body fully jointed for posing.
I will start at the top of the doll and work my way down so as not to omit anything in my description.  Starting at the top of her head, she has light brown hair with lots of curly curls.  They are tight and she has a full head of hair.  The large bow around her head was designed and created by me so it would match her dress.  The ribbon is heavy grosgrain in colors of hot pink/white polka dots, white with hot pink polka dots, and lime green.  It looks sooooo cute!  As you go down to her face, she has single brown line for eyebrows.  She has beautiful bright green colored open close sleep eyes with long eyelashes which have been spared from the hands of her previous little mommies.  Her eyes open and close freely and have such a precious look to them.
She has a dainty little nose with open nostrils for realism which flows down to her rose bud shape lips. Her lips are painted bright pink color with open mouth.  She looks like a very mischievous little girl.  Her cheeks have beautiful coloring to blend well with her big bright green eyes.
Her body is heavy vinyl which is fully jointed at the head, arms and legs for posing in such sweet positions.  The back of her neck has a hallmarked:  "F" within a circle.  Unfortunately I am not familiar with this doll maker, which is nothing new for me.  I bought my dolls if they hit a spot in my heart.  How can you not adore this sweet face?
With such bright green eyes and that precious open mouth, I knew this little one had to be in bright colors.  I chose this designer dress which is hot pink fabric with white polka dots.  The bodice is high waist with three rows of white pleats which looks like a cumber bun.  There is a white tie off the cumber bun which ties in the back and flows down the back of the skirt.  There is a zipper in the back which allows you to easily remove the dress.  The dress is sleeveless with bright green and white stripe grosgrain ribbon tied into bows on the shoulders.  The skirt is gathered tightly for added fullness.  There are five adorable white fabric roses with embroidered bright green stems on the front bottom of the skirt.  The dress is lined with white slip with heavy tulle netting for additional fullness.  Under her slip, she has matching hot pink and white polka dot bloomers.  The bloomers come down to the knee which allows her legs to peek out from under her dress.  She is wearing white socks with pink/white and green/white striped ruffles.  On each side of the socks are hot pink grosgrain bows.  She is wearing adorable white sandals with side buckles for secure wearing.  This adorable baby doll will come with her very own tiny doll dressed like her mommy to keep her company.
She has been in my collection for many years and over the course of years I clean my dolls and try to avoid them from ageing by doing so.  They are not played with by children who come and visit; I know that sounds mean, but sometimes they play too rough.  My dolls are kept in a doll room specifically for them and are displayed for everyone to enjoy.
All my dolls are truly loved and cared for as though they were my children.  Their clothes are either original to the doll, made by me, I've tried finding doll clothing from the same era as the doll or find clothing which match the personality of the doll.  We do not smoke and I try very hard to keep a tidy clean home free of dust and odor.  My dolls are clean and most of the time look as though they did when they were sold new.   Depending on how old they are, I do try to be honest in detailing if some of the dolls have bruises, missing toes or fingers or other issues, but that doesn't mean they aren't worth having; for each one is like children.....they are all beautiful in their mothers eyes.  If I've missed something it would never be intentional.
    SIZE:
This is a large size vintage doll measuring approximately 20" to 21" tall.  Her little baby doll measures approximately 7" tall.
    CONDITION:
I really don't have anything negative to say about this little dolly.  She has full, thick, curly hair which has been washed and styled.  Her hair bow is custom designed to match her designer dress.  Her green eyes are bright and open/close freely.  She has her original eyelashes.  Her coloring is lovely and remains vivid and bright today.  Her dress is a designer dress which I purchased for this doll.  I spare no money when it comes to dressing my dolls.  I believe if they are going to a new mommy, they should look their very best.  Her shoes are vintage from my personal doll shoe collection, but have never been worn by another doll.  Her socks are vintage, but have been laundered.  P
