    Description

    A fine old example of a Dogon Tellem female figure. Wood with heavy encrustation. Created circa 1920s-1930s by the Dogon tribe of the Bandiagara escarpment in Mali.
    Measures approximately 12" tall, 3" wide, 3" deep.
    Provenance: Monell Collection (built during 1960s-80s); Remained in Monell Collection until purchased by me at auction. Accompanied by documentation from the auction house that states provenance.
    Condition: Overall fine condition. Heavy encrustation. Right arm repaired. Loss to right hand and rear of head crest. See photos.
